At Bookaroom.ie, we have been in the rental business since 1997, renting houses, apartments and offices. We take pride in our business and we work extremely hard for our clients to provide a professional, efficient and quality service.

We understand that each individual client has specific needs and it is this understanding that makes us the experts when it comes to renting. Customer service is our specialty and we strive for excellence in every area of our business. Bookaroom.ie is run based on certain values and it is these values that keep us at the top of our game.

We have a large portfolio of properties that changes on a daily basis so there is no shortage of opportunities for our customers.

We have a dedicated maintenance department which means that clients can expect issues to be resolved quickly and efficiently. We only use trusted, reliable and qualified contractors to carry out work. We also provide a 24 hour emergency number that is available to call outside office hours.

Our offices are located at 36 Parnell Street in Waterford City. We provide viewings that are flexible for our clients needs, this includes weekends and evenings when necessary.

Meet the Team


Regina Mangan – Managing Director

Regina worked with Forte Hotels in Ireland and the UK in a variety of Management roles. She moved to Waterford in 1995 to set up and run Waterford’s first apart hotel. After 2 years in this great role and having made a lot of business contacts Regina went on to set up Book A Room, the very first company in Waterford to specialise in renting property.

“Working in the hotel industry, helped me learn and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service. The business is really about people and not property. We don’t just rent we find people homes. In doing this we look after our landlords needs. In order for us to maintain high standards and excellent results we know we must have the best people working with us. A great attitude is everything, and so every member of the team and every contractor that works with us understand that a great attitude is needed every day to make our clients happy. Thankfully I love what I do.”

Maria Clifford – Company Director

Bookaroom.ie appointed Maria Clifford as company director in January 2009.

Maria joined the team at Bookaroom.ie in 2004, and she worked her way through every department, including reception, accounts and lettings. Before joining the business Maria worked in sales and customer service both in the tourism and retail sector.

Maria has a very hands on role within the maintenance division, ensuring the property maintenance and refurbishment services meet the highest of standards. “As the only company in Waterford to have a dedicated maintenance division we pride ourselves in the value and expertise that we can pass on to our clients. We only deal with trusted tradesmen and contractors who understand we have to deliver great prices and service. Tenants need to be happy in their homes, and landlords need to keep expenses down. It’s important that Landlords know that these expenses can be used to reduce their tax bill.”

Maria believes the key to customer service is listening to your customers and exceeding their expectations every time.

A native of Castlemaine, Co Kerry, Maria is currently undertaking an MA in NLP and Coaching.

Siobhán Ryan – Office Manager

Siobhán joined the team in 2016 bringing with her a wealth of commercial and people management experience. Siobhán prides herself on exceptional attention to detail while appreciating the merits of the employee and the supplier in the client journey. She enjoys setting new goals and targets both for herself and the team, resulting in a rewarding experience for the consumer and the employee. Quality and excellent customer care are at the core of her professional ethic.

Cormac Finlay – Senior letting agent

Cormac worked in Customer Service and sales in hotels, telemarketing and IT. Whilst working in AOL for four years in the technical service department he also attained a diploma with distinction in Computing in the WIT. Cormac was awarded “Most Popular Employee” of the year during his time in AOL. He was appointed to the role of Senior Letting Agent in 2007. Cormac says

“I get such a sense of satisfaction when I help prospective tenants find their ideal home. Everyone I meet has different needs and so when we help them and match that need its very rewarding”.

Miriam Colfer – Front of House

Miriam joined the team in 2008 and is the key person within the front of house team. Miriam is renowned for her wonderful smile and superb attention to all our clients. Her role involves all aspects of administration but most importantly the matching of clients with the right properties.

Elaine Cunningham – Front of House

Elaine joined the team in 2012 with over 25 years banking experience. Her main role within the company includes compliance and taking care of our customers. She has excellent attention to detail and is always meticulous with administration and issuing of contracts, and most importantly she is very obliging.

Nora O Byrne – Accounts Manager

Nora joined Bookaroom.ie in 2008 and has a wealth of experience in financial management, reporting and processing of large volumes of client and contractor payments. Nora is a qualified accounts technician and member of the ACCA.
